The name "Donna Lou" was created one day while Amanda Lefebre was looking through old family photos and it occurred to her that the perfect name for her clothing line would be the names of the two wisest women she knew. So Donna Lou was born from the names of her two grandmothers, Donna Detrick and Louisa Lefebre. Amanda’s love for vintage clothing and classic style already played a part in her design, but the inspiration from these women took it to a whole new level.
Donna Lou is a young, feminine and imaginative line that epitomizes today's woman. Donna Lou creates a style which is modern yet classic and that is WEARABLE. From the fabrics and silhouettes to the soft label in the neckline, Donna Lou clothing is made for the girl who wants to be comfortably fabulous.

We strive to design the same amazingly cute clothes you would find in a vintage store, but with a fit that works for you. The brand has blossomed to a collection of timeless pieces that incorporate vintage “cuteness” with modern functionality. This balance is the mission of the collection, and reflects the lives of Amanda and all of her friends. Amanda currently designs the collection in beautiful Santa Cruz California and the line is manufactured in the San Francisco Bay Area. Donna Lou Clothing was founded in 2005, and today is designing a contemporary gal’s collection for all to enjoy.
