The name "Donna Lou" was created one day while Amanda Cattivera was looking through old family photos and it occurred to her that the perfect name for her clothing line would be the names of the two wisest women she knew. So Donna Lou was born from the names of her two grandmothers, Donna Detrick and Louisa Lefebre. Amanda’s love for vintage clothing and classic style already played a part in her design, but the inspiration from these women took it to a whole new level.
